Judge Halverson being sued by former assistant

The district court judge banned from the courthouse is now being sued by her former judicial executive assistant. The complaint was filed Thursday.

Ileen spoor is suing her former boss, Judge Elizabeth Halverson for defamation of character, asking for more than $10,000 in damages.

Meanwhile, more revelations today from exhibits in the Supreme Court case of Judge Elizabeth Halverson. The documents reveal more about her treatment towards co-workers.

In an affidavit, from the courts human resources manager, Judge Halverson was overheard referring to her courtroom clerk as, "the evil one and the anti-Christ."

In another affidavit from Halverson's judicial executive assistant, she says that shortly after taking the bench, she began utilizing her court staff as her personal slaves.

An example given was that she was to have ice waiting for her on the bench. If the ice was ever melted, she would scream at her entire staff.

The affidavit gives another example of how she threw a pencil over her shoulder and asked her bailiff to "go pick that up. I feel like being a judge today."

The Nevada Supreme Court has all of these affidavits along other exhibits that they will be reviewing. From there they could possibly hold a hearing or make a ruling.
