First responders are in Las Vegas this week learning what to do in case of a terror attack in southern Nevada. Part of this 3 day disaster drill includes a microchip experiment involving pets.
Veterinarians are implanting free microchips in the first one-thousand pets brought into the Las Vegas convention center. It's an exercise to test the capacity of the new regional mobile emergency animal shelter. Microchips help you find your dog or cat when it goes missing.
To take advantage of the offer, go the Las Vegas Convention Center and enter off Swenson Road. The free microchipping goes through Thursday or until those 1-thousand microchips are given away.
