LAS VEGAS (AP) -- It's down to two international poker pros -- a Russian and a Dane -- going head-to-head for the championship of the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.
Play resumes tonight with 27-year-old Ivan Demidov and 22-year-old Peter Eastgate vying for up for $9.15 million and the coveted winner's bracelet in this year's no-limit Texas Hold 'em main event.
Seven players were eliminated during eight hours of play yesterday at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
The nine finalists won spots at the final table in July, emerging from a field of 6,844 players.
This year, in a bid to spur ratings and interest, organizers of the 39th annual poker tournament chose to wait for months to finish the championship.
